Our Organization
PharmaTech is a young independent, privately owned Global Pharmaceuticals
Contract Research Organization. Furthermore, we maintain a global regulatory network. The company
has experienced sustained scientific success since 2000 by developing services that meet the needs
of our worldwide client base.
Today, PharmaTech is one of the contract research and regulatory consulting organizations employing
over 100 staff members. The company provides an integrated service to the pharmaceutical, agrochemical
and chemical industry.
PharmaTech developing among others new anti-malarial agent. PharmaTech applies synthetic biology
techniques to produce bioactive chemical compounds for pharmaceutical use.
PharmaTech is also focused on translating the promise of synthetic biology into solutions for
real world problems. One of our initial projects is the development of production of innovative
and modified anti malarial drugs to meet a critical need in the developing world. In this case
our main goal is to decrease the cost of drugs needed to treat individuals in endemic countries.
The need for development of new anti-malarial agents:
More than 40% of the world population lives in malaria-endemic areas. Each year more then 300
million people are affected by the disease, and annual mortality estimates are in the other 2 million.
Thus malaria is considered to be the third most frequent cause of death by infectious disease.
Furthermore, the malaria parasite is becoming increasingly resistant to classical drugs thus
forcing development of new anti-malarial agents.
The Company has three Business Units (Pharma, Agro and Chemicals) providing services ranging
from techno-regulatory consulting and project management to complete registration packages and
product stewardship.
The six Operational Units perform regulatory GLP-, GMP- and GEP-compliant laboratory and field studies.
